As the much-awaited event D-Day of the Wakirike Unity Concert draws closer with just 11 days and few hours to go, plans are in top gear by a special committee to put up a roadshow on Saturday 1st December 2018.

According to the committee, the roadshow will kick off from Borikiri and end at Abuloma jetty. During this rally, the Wakirike Unity Concert flyers, stickers, and special tickets/invitation cards will be distributed to people living in all the nook and cranny where the bulk of Wakirike population reside.

A group of over 60 Wakirike youths drawn from all Wakirike Student Union (WASU) chapters across the country and other Wakirike sons and daughters will be involved in the roadshow.

Already some of the finest Nollywood actors of Wakirike origin have endorsed their support for the upcoming Wakirike Unity Concert of 1000 voices tagged The Big Sing. The likes of Ibinabo Fiberesima, Sam Dede, Walter Anga, Yibo Koko and a host of others including beauty queens are expected to be in attendance. Also expected to grace the occasion are the Who-is-Whos of Wakirike origin home and abroad.

Meanwhile, rehearsals which started since April this year had come to a final conclusion at the various rehearsal centres in Okrika, Ogu, Bolo, and Port Harcourt since Sunday 25th November 2018. The final dress rehearsal will be at St. James Church, Ogoloma in Okrika Local Government Area.
